The Captain's Log: The Origin of Kopiten
Ahoy! This is your captain speaking, this is Kopiten and welcome aboard.
Before we set sail, let me share how this all began. It starts with an odd truth: I never liked coffee. One cup was enough to send me overboard. It wasn't until I brought home my first coffee machine to this beautiful island of Bali, more out of curiosity than love, that the tide began to turn. Cup after cup, voyage after voyage, two blends finally felt right. Not bitter, not bland, just right.
One cup at a time.
Those became Kopiten's signature blends, the start of a longer journey, chasing beans from different shores across the archipelago, each one brewed by hand. I love to travel and sailing, always on the hunt for my new collection beans for filter coffee, wherever the journey takes me.
But a ship needs more than good coffee to keep it sailing, so I built a table for breakfast, lunch, or a long afternoon anchored at work that somehow feels like holiday, with a menu that's comforting but never quite what you expect, yet turns into a wholesome moment.
Pull up a seat, open your laptop, stay as long as the tide allows, because on this ship, I like it best when quiet work turns into good conversation and connection. Every cup we pour is an invitation to sail a little further with us, day after day. Hope you will feel home away from home.
Anchors away, the voyage starts with your first sip.
